Providing advocacy, resources and support
to early childhood educators and the
children they serve.
Projects
As a project based organization, Edward Street is engaged in a variety of initiatives to improve the
delivery of early learning services in Worcester.
We created the website, Early Childhood Central to provide
information to agencies, parents and the community about
early education, child development, child care openings, and
public policy related to children.

We utilized a community build model to create a high quality
safe playspace at the Worcester Comprehensive Child Care
Service site in Main South.

We are working with the Webster Square Day Care Center
and The Building Trades to complete a much needed
bathroom rehabilitation project.

We have received donations and in-kind support from The
Carpenters union, The Plumbers union, Grafton Job Corps,
Orsi and sons, Kesseli and Morse, The Home Depot, R&R
Plumbing Supply, and Kamco.
We are working with the Elm Park Center for Early Childhood
Education and The TLC Christian Preschool to build high
quality developmentally appropriate playgrounds at those
centers.
